Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) is a therapy to improve communication between you and someone important in your life (sometimes an adult you live with or have a lot of contact with).
It starts by taking a video if you doing something together for 10 minutes. The VIG Practitioner will then edit the video to pick up to 3 micro moments (no longer than 10 seconds long) where you and the other person are showing the best moments of being in tune with each other (attuned interactions). You then have up to an hour to review them with the VIG Practitioner and talk about these moments in more detail and exploring what made them possible. It then lets you build on these moments to create more successful/positive interactions.
Usually there would be 3 videos and 3 opportunities to look at them in detail. If you are younger it might your parent/carer that we offer the review with.
